We started this site to warn you about all the bad movies out there. For you trivia fans our original slogan was "We see bad movies so you don't have to". The more movies we saw, and the more reminiscing we did, the more we realized that there are a lot of good movies out there. This is the list of those movies that we consider great. A lot of them may be plotless (a lot of them aren't though) but they're still good in their own right. We have a movie for every taste on this list. So check out this list, run down to Blockbuster, cook up some popcorn, grab a loved one (even if that means your dog), sit down in front of the small screen and prepare for a great night at home.

OFFICE SPACE: Another comedy this time about working in an office and how much work pays off.

SHREK: I know you're all thinking kiddie movie, But there are a lot of grown up jokes and nothing beats Mike Myers comedy.

SO I MARRIED AN AXE MURDERER: Another Mike Myers flick, but really who's funnier than this guy? A comedy about marriage and "The Weekly World News"

A CHRISTMAS STORY: The heart-warming tale of a young boy that only wanted one thing for Christmas, a Red Rider BB Gun. One of the greatest Christmas movies of all time.

IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE: Jimmy Stewart plays a guy down on his luck in this 1946 classic film. He is given a chance to see how bad the world would be if he had never been born.

KEVIN SMITH MOVIES: Any of the classic films written and directed by Kevin Smith, which also star his alter ego Silent Bob. The list of films by the Independent film icon are: Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. All are must sees if you're a fan of Kevin Smith or if you like seeing good films that will make you laugh till ya pee.

A GOOFY MOVIE: Goofy Goof's son, Maxamilion Goof is going through school a loser, but then he pulls of a stunt that makes him the popular guy. The height of his popularity just so happens to come when his dad decides that they need to bond and takes him on a family road trip. A great movie that will make you laugh and maybe even cry.

SANDLOT: The story of a group of kids who spent their summers playing baseball in the neighborhood vacant lot.

BANDITS: This movie is incredible from beginning to end though the end is without a doubt the best part.

THE BIG LEBOWSKI: Jeff Bridges plays the Dude, his real name is shared with a millionaire, and it leads to a case of mistaken identity. The movie is funny through vulgarity, with a great cast including, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, and John Turturro

MOTHMAN PROPHECIES: Check out the review on the past reviews page.

MEMENTO: The twisted story of a man's revenge on the guy who killed his wife. Shot from end to beginning. An overall incredible movie.

AMERICAN HISTORY X: Edward Norton stars as an ex Neo-Nazi trying to save his brother from making the same mistakes as him.

FIGHT CLUB: Another Norton flick, in which a club for men to let out their frustrations by beating each other up is formed. Great action and humor and a great twist ending

GREEN MILE: Tear jerker about a blessed inmate on death row.

HEARTS IN ATLANTIS: The story of a little boy's childhood with two friends his age, a neglective mother, and a mind reading older gentleman played by Anthony Hopkins.

FORREST GUMP: The life story of a mentally deficient man, a chronicle of the major events in history.

PAY IT FORWARD: Kevin Spacey and the arguably annoying Haley Joel Osment star in this movie about the how the world is and how great it could be if we all cared for each other and bonded as a group.

GOOD WILL HUNTING: It doesn't get better than Robin Williams in a serious role and this is one of his best. A movie about a gifted kid who has a lot of baggage and confronts his demons when he is forced to start meeting with Robin Williams' character.

STAND BY ME: A coming of age story about 4 kids with less than good family lives in the search of a dead body.

TRAINING DAY: The story of a rookie cop partnered with the crookedest most evil mo' on the force. Best actor to Denzel.

SE7EN: aka Seven. This flick is the best suspense/thriller movie I've ever seen. About a guy who kills people with the seven deadly sins.

RED DRAGON: Yet another Norton flick, a remake of "Manhunter" the first in the Hannibal Lecter trilogy. A movie that keeps you guessing until the final frame and sets up its sequel nicely.

THE USUAL SUSPECTS: Kevin Spacey, Kevin Pollack, Benicio Del Toro, Stephen Baldwin and Gabriel Byrne are the usual suspects. A boat is blown up and the drugs and money involved with it are nowhere to be found. Spacey's character tells of the road to this job on the boat and it ends with one of the best, if not the greatest, twist endings ever

THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION: A Stephen King adapted story, about a man accused of killing his wife and her lover, who is sent to prison and shows his life in prison over 20 years before he makes a great escape.

SAVING PRIVATE RYAN: WWII. Who isn't interested by WWII? A story about the way a unit bands together with a common goal. Incredible reality to battles in WWII.

WE WERE SOLDIERS: Mel Gibson stars in this drama about the conflict in Vietnam.

ALIEN: A squad on a barge in the middle of space encounter an S.O.S from another ship and go to investigate. The crew of that ship is all dead and that is when the terror begins. Remember in space no one can hear you scream.

HALLOWEEN: The greatest horror film of all time. Starring no name actors at the time, including Jamie Lee Curtis, and a director no one knew about. A very chilling tale about a young man filled with so much evil, he wasn't human anymore and he tries to kill the last of his family on Halloween.

HALLOWEEN 2: The story picks up right where the original left off. Michael walks away from multiple gunshot wounds to hunt down Laurie as she is confined to a hospital.

TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: In 1973, in a small Texas town, five friends get lost and find their way into the house inhabited by a family of cannibals. Little do they know they won't be getting help, they'll be getting killed one by one by a chainsaw weilding psycho that wears the faces of his victims. See the original or see the 2003 remake, but don't see the sequels

NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET: The parents of a small town burn a child molester alive and he comes back to haunt and kill their children in the only place they can't protect them, their dreams.

28 DAYS LATER: Jim wakes up to find that the London he knew has been replaced with a London inhabited by zombies infected by "rage". The imagery will scare you, but the realization that this disease got into people the same way AIDS did could very well keep you up for months in that while it's on the silver screen, this horror movie could actually be real.
